Apply for an Internship
Before applying to the Pastoral Internship Program, carefully review the Program Overview.
Deadlines
All credentials must be submitted via email (rev.spotts@phoenixurc.org) between January 1 and February 28 of the year the prospective intern desires to enter the program. This allows our consistory adequate time to review theapplication, interview the candidate, and schedule a licensure examination if needed. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered.
Credentials
Brief statement of personal faith and confessional commitment.
Brief statement expressing your sense of call to the ministry and perceived gifting for the ministry of the Word.
Brief statement of what you hope to gain in an internship.
Headshot of yourself (informal is okay if clear).
Transcript of seminary grades thus far.
Seminary faculty recommendation.
Pastoral recommendation.
Links to (2) personal sermons (video preferred/audio acceptable). If the applicant has exhorted previously at PURC, this requirement is waived.
