About SFC

STRONG Families for Children is a prevention program that offers a secure and temporary home to thousands of children, minimizing the risk for abuse or neglect, and giving parents the time and tools they need to help their families thrive. If you are interested in becoming a STRONG family or want to learn more please call: (602) 396-2720.

Our STRONG Families for Children program supports families in three ways:

1. Providing short-term (<30 days), voluntary care for children

2. Partnering parents with a volunteer Family Friend for support

3. Parenting support programs

The ultimate goal is to strengthen and support parents so they can become strong families for their own children.

Vision

How STRONG Families for Children Can Help (“Sojourning Together Relying on God”)

When crisis strikes, many of us rely on relatives and our church family for support. But for some parents, there isn’t a safety net. Often, problems such as drug addiction, domestic abuse, incarceration, or illness can be debilitating, making it impossible for parents to care for their children.

STRONG Families Core Values

  • Radical Hospitality

  • Compassion fueled by Mercy

  • Disruptive Generosity

YOU CAN SERVE IN THESE WAYS
